Originally from the Northeast, I grew up in New Hampshire and spent my summers on Lake Winnipesaukee. Trail running is how I stay fit, both mind and body. I have completed several ultra-marathons. On the trails and in the mountains is where I am most at home, and on a stormy, cloudy, or windy day, I’ll be the crazy one smiling.
I am a graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and have a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. Being fit, healthy, and strong is what comes naturally to me and I do my best to walk the talk daily, both physically and emotionally. I consider it a great day if I can be an inspiration to others by being real and open and sharing from my own growth and healing process.
I am about EMPOWERING others to be the best they can be.
Artemis - What's in my logo?
Artemis, the Huntress, the Protectress, also known as the Roman goddess Diana, is usually seen with her bow and arrow, a stag or a hunting dog, and the crescent or new moon.
As the Huntress, she never misses her target, slaying the most dangerous beasts with ease and grace. The wilderness is her home where she guards her independence fiercely, she is the call of the wild and symbolizes the animal spirit within. As the Protectress, she is fiercely protective of those in her realm, she will not, however, let you stagnate in her care, by her very nature she inspires self sufficiency.
The crescent or new moon symbolizes new beginnings, the start of change. By the light of the crescent moon, Artemis illuminates those places that need to heal, those new beginnings, and guides us to our new path.
If Artemis has entered your life, life as you know it will never be the same. You are at once the hunted and the protected. She will fiercely fight for you, but at the same time will fight for you to stand on your own. She will awaken your wild nature, encouraging you to run with wild abandon, yet push you to listen deeply. She will not settle for anything less than old wounds healed, your wild self awakened, and a new path ahead.
